Intern or Volunteer

To intern or volunteer with this exciting organization and learn more about sustainable development first hand, contact us at info@acapro-cr.org.

Interns must have completed a minimum of one year of university study, and both volunteers and interns must speak Spanish at least an intermediate level. Possible internships include:

• Graphic design and production: Produce brochures, labels, presentations and other projects.
  
• Construction: Help complete and expand the vinegar factory; help build a cabina on one of the farms for an agro-ecotourism project.
  
• Production: Bottle, label and pack vinegar.
  
• Farming: Work directly on a farm.
  
• Teach language skills: Help farmers learn English.
  
• Ecotourism: Survey farmers’ capacities for tourism and other projects.
  
• Videography: Create a video/photo documentary.
  
• Administration: Research and help to implement export permit requirements.
  
• Research: Help complete a biological survey of the farms for a comparison of their diversity to conventional banana production. Do a literature review on banana and cacao agroforestry and compile a summary report.
